Perennial conducted a series of zero waste audits for a variety of data centers in multiple states. These projects include consultation and coordination with site facility teams, janitorial vendors, and waste haulers to ensure a streamlined process for zero waste auditing. To be considered a zero waste audit, all waste streams must be examined and analyzed for diversion potential and contamination.

Zero Waste Strategic Planning
Perennial Zero Waste worked in partnership with Evergreen Goodwill to assess the waste portfolio of their largest outlet and retail stores in Seattle and Everett, WA. Perennial produced a findings report along with recommendations for a streamlined diversion program and plan for developing its own materials management program.

Perennial has conducted a series of waste audits at Type 1 cache facilities across the country and is preparing a comprehensive zero waste vision and framework for wildland fire operations by 2030.

Obliteride Fundraising Event
Waste Management and Education
Perennial has supported the Fred Hutch Obliteride events for the past two years. With over 4,000 attendees, Perennial provides trained staff to manage waste contamination and attendee education for the multi day and location event.
On Site Reuse
Large Summer Multi-Day Event
Perennial Zero Waste provided an on-site mobile washing hub for a large scale, multi-day event. Perennial provided reusable cups to over 6,000 attendees over the course of the weekend and completely eliminated all plastic single use cups from the event's beer gardens.
Seattle Public Utilities
Reuse for Farmers Markets
Perennial Zero Waste partnered with Seattle Public Utilities to launch the first of its kind reuse service at farmers markets. Farmers market food vendors are outfitted with reusable service ware, attendees can walk the market and eat on a reusable plate, then dispose of the plate in one of the bins around the market. Wares are commercially sanitized and ready for reuse at the next market!
REI Corporate Events
Zero Waste Event Consulting and Management
Multi-day, multi-location events with a range of 300-1000 attendees. Perennial provided full-service reusable dishware at multiple locations, as well as waste management. In one location, commercial composting was not available, so Perennial worked with a local pig farmer to compost the event’s food scrap waste. This event achieved a 91% overall diversion rate.
